My Child at School (MCAS)
Parents of Ashby School students can check their children’s attendance, performance and behaviour online.
By clicking on ‘My Child at School’ (MCAS), parents can use their unique login and password to check their child’s progress and attendance. The live data enables parents to track their child’s movements and achievements hour by hour.
Parents can monitor their child’s attendance in each lesson, or look back over an entire school year. They can also gauge his/ her attendance in individual subjects and, therefore, help to identify and tackle possible problems in specific subject areas.
All school reports are now published on MCAS. Paper reports are issued only to parents/ carers who do not have internet access.
Homework and coursework assignments are also displayed on the system, so that parents can monitor the work that has been set and ensure that students stay on top of their workload.
Progress grades are available, too, helping parents to track their child’s current and target grades. These are updated on a termly basis, to give a clear indication of progress.
Students’ positive rewards and negative points can be accessed on the site, keeping parents informed of their child’s behaviour and achievements.
Ashby School was one of the first in the country to use an internet-based system of this kind.
Parents can use the system to update their personal details and contact the school.
Exam timetables and results are also published on the site.
Anyone with questions about, or issues regarding, MCAS should contact Mrs Lynne Evans at email@example.com or 01530 413748 x 268.
