LITERACY AND DYSLEXIA
Ashby School has specialised materials on reading, spelling and writing for anyone interested in literacy, including explanations of how these skills are learnt.
Information is also available on a range of other related topics, such as vocabulary, along with worksheets for gifted and talented students (see 'Gifted and Talented' tab for more information).
Ashby School's focus on literacy includes a commitment to:
- helping students who have special needs regarding literacy;
- supply materials for gifted and talented students;
- raise achievement in comprehensive schools.
Ashby School has its own dyslexia project which uses powerful teaching materials and techniques, proven to be effective and fast-acting.
