High Attainers

Opportunities for gifted and talented students are everywhere at Ashby School.

Education is tailored to the needs of high attaining students to ensure they are challenged in lessons and given the opportunity to develop their talents.

Ashby School’s varied programme includes visits by experts from different career areas to inspire students, interview training for students hoping to enter top universities and study days covering a variety of topics in both academic and creative subjects.

Sixth Form students are encouraged to take part in university visits and other off site initiatives. There is now a 'gifted and talented' noticeboard in the Sixth Form Centre to advertise the opportunities on offer.

High attaining students are given the opportunity to develop leadership, decision making and organisational skills through House Activities.

Success is celebrated across the school, creating a culture in which achievement is recognised and respected.
