Product design students used state-of-the-art technology during a visit to De Montfort University.
During the product design taster day, students had a go at digital rendering on hi-tech Wacom tablets using a program called sketchbook pro.
They were taught by a lecturer who previously worked for a big international design company.
After a free lunch in DMU’s fabulous, new food court, students visited the Art and Design tower. This brand new building has five towering mezzanine floors connected by angled stair cases directly above your head!
Students looked around the final year degree show where they found inspiratino for their Year 12 A Level projects.
Teacher Tom Ellicock, who accompanied the students, said: "It was a really fun day but also incredibly useful. Students found some of the architectural projects particularly attractive and intricate. There was a lot of focus on products and buildings designed to help the elderly which was very refreshing."
