Head Boy and Head Girl Share Lessons of Auschwitz Visit
13 Apr 2018
A visit to Auschwitz by Head Boy Dan Wilde and Head Girl Natasha Kirk will be shared with more than 600 of their fellow Sixth Formers during a series of special assemblies.
Dan and Natasha visited the Polish former death camp as part of the 'Lessons from Auschwitz' project, run by the Holocaust Educational Trust.
Dan said: "Before taking a visit to Auschwitz, it's almost impossible to prepare for what you're going to see and feel while there.
"We visited Oświęcim (the town that got renamed Auschwitz by the Germans) and two concentration camps. We both found it a very worthwhile and sobering experience, and we are looking forward to sharing our thoughts in a week of assemblies for Sixth Formers. Despite taking place over 70 years ago, I now believe that the Holocaust is more important than ever."
Dan and Natasha will deliver three assemblies to Year 12 and 13 students.
