Music Trip is Pitched Perfectly
27 Sep 2017
More than 50 students spent a weekend indulging their passion for music on this year's residential music weekend.
The annual trip to Dunfield House is one of the highlights of the musical calendar at Ashby School.
Musicians of all abilities come together to rehearse and perform in small groups and larger ensembles, experimenting with musical styles and genres.
There is also time for games, quizzes and other activities during the four day visit.
On their return, students put on a performance for family, friends and school staff in the lecture theatre.
Trip leader Ali Jackson said: "The trip to Dunfield was amazing, as ever, in terms of the students' enthusiasm, output and sheer creativity. It is a great opportunity for students to learn new music that they may not encounter elsewhere and to sing and play with different people."
