Music Technology - Year 12 and 13

Year 12 Music Technology
Students will be develop their knowledge and understanding of music production software systems and methods of music sequencing, data entry, editing, sound synthesis and production.
Students will develop skills in Technology based composition creating music to go with a video followed by developing skills in recording a multi track song.
Alongside this students will study the development of popular music instruments, how they link to different genres of music as well as the development of technology over the part 100 years.
Students will also be studying and analysing the musical features of rock ‘n’ roll and rap and hip hop.
They will start building skills for their second coursework task – Live Recording.
Year 13 Music Technology
Students will continue to develop their knowledge and understanding of music production software systems and methods of music sequencing, data entry, editing, sound synthesis, live recording and production.
Students will commence their first coursework task – Sequenced Realised Performance – where they will utilise technology to re-create a choice of pieces set by the exam board.
