A drop-in Help Surgery for students to talk about health and relationship concerns runs twice a week.
Trained health professionals are on hand to give advice on a range of issues including:
- Your Body
- Your Skin
- Your Sexual Health including Chlamydia testing
- Emergency Contraception, Long Acting Reversible Contraception, the Contraceptive Pill and Condoms
- Stopping Smoking, Drugs and Alcohol
- Diet and Exercise
- Stress and Relaxation
Students can talk in confidence about all these issues.
For students who prefer not to attend the drop-in surgery, it is possible to make an appointment at an alternative location outside school.
Students can visit the Help Surgery with or without a friend.
The sessions run twice a week for Ashby School students. They are held on Mondays from 12.30 – 2.15pm in the basement at Ashby Hospital and on Thursdays from 12.30 – 2pm in C block, opposite the Year Room. For more information about the service, students can download the leaflet below.
