The role of Student Voice is to enable students to play an active part in school life, including the decisions affecting their education.
Student Voice is focused in three areas:
The school seeks to ensure that there are a number of leadership opportunities for students in each Year group. This is achieved through the House Prefect system, House Captains and the Student Senior Leadership Team. Students can also become involved through the School Council which is overseen by the Director of Student Guidance and the Senior Administrator
Teaching and Learning
Students are consulted about the ways in which the quality of teaching and learning can be improved in the classroom. An Advanced Skills teacher has specific responsibility for developing the skills needed by students to observe teaching and learning, and to identify areas where it can be improved and good practice can be shared.
Supporting Each Other
Students support each other through vertical tutor groups, peer mentoring and student listening.
