Hockey Boys Bag Yet Another Gong

The school's under 19 hockey team has been named School Team of the Year at the Leicester Mercury Sports Awards.
Members of the team accepted the prize at a star-studded ceremony at Leicester Tigers' Welford Road Stadium, topping off a year of incredible achievements.
The team became one of the first in the country from a state school to reach the semi-finals of the England Schools National Plate competition and played the semi-final match at Lee Valley, an elite athletics centre in London.
Their achievements were also recognised at an earlier awards ceremony when they were named 'Team of the Year' at the The North West Leicestershire Local Sports Alliance Sport and Health Awards.
