Next Stop: Swaziland
06 Mar 2019
A weekend of outdoor challenges was the first test for students who will embark on an unforgettable trip to Swaziland in July.
The 17 Sixth Formers will trek through Swaziland for four days before working with local people on a community conservation project.
To prepare for the expedition, students spent a weekend at Beaumanor where they met their expedition leader for a 16km walk to test their fitness levels. They also used safety and group equipment as well as learning to cook with the correct tools and utensils.
Students used their initiative to lead the group, cook, budget for food and navigate.
