Welcome to Ashby School.
I am delighted to be taking up the role of Headteacher at Ashby School.
Ashby is a school with a proud history and a strong position in the local community. It is also a school on the brink of a landmark next step as it prepares to welcome Year 7 students from September 2022. We are thrilled about the opportunities that will be created by this exciting change and know that all members of our school community will benefit from this growth.
Ashby School prides itself on putting students at its heart. We want all our students to have a happy and successful learning experience and are committed to ensuring that all students fulfil their academic potential. However, at Ashby, we realise that school success is about more than academic standards and offer our students a range of opportunities to enable them to embrace our core values. These encourage students to ‘Show Respect’; 'Accept Responsibility’ and ‘Build Resilience’ to prepare them for their successful futures.
Education has faced many challenges over the last 18 months, all of which have impacted students enormously in many ways. As restrictions on schools are gradually lifted, we are working hard to ensure that students have the opportunity to reengage with their education so that school can be the happy, harmonious and supportive environment in which our students can thrive.
I look forward to working with everyone in the Ashby School community to achieve this, because, at Ashby, ‘Anything is Possible’.
