Culture at the heart of learning

Welcome to Ashby School

Ashby school is an inclusive 11-18 provision that sits in the heart of our local community and prides ourself on putting students at the heart of all we do.

Our ethos statements echo this, encouraging our students to be ‘Empowered to Learn’ and to believe that ‘Anything is Possible’ through hard work and commitment. Through this ethos, we combine academic aspiration and the opportunities for our students to embrace our core values; to Show Respect, Accept Responsibility and Build Resilience to prepare them for a successful future. We want all our students to have a happy and successful learning experience and the confidence and qualifications to step into successful futures.

We hope our website tells you a little more about the work we do and that, when we work together, at Ashby School, ‘Anything is Possible’.

Following on from October’s Black History Month, the Trust set our KS3 and KS4 students across all the MAT schools (primary and secondary) a task to celebrate and design a poster focusing on a role model or hero.
They had to give some background on the person/ team and why and how they are an inspiration to them and what barriers they have overcome. It was run as a competition with prizes for the most inspiring and creative entries.
We would like to say congratulations to our Ashby student Jessica Wathes, in 7B, did an amazing piece on why the England lionesses are her role models.
