Ashby Educational Foundation

As a student or former student of Ashby School, you may also be eligible to apply to this independently-administered fund which makes awards to ‘promote the education (including social and physical training) of people under 25 who have attended a school in the Ashby area’.

The fund was established to:

Award scholarships, exhibitions, bursaries, maintenance allowances or grants at any school, university or other institution;
Provide financial assistance, outfits, clothing, tools, instruments or books to assist such persons with their education (including the study of music and other arts), to undertake travel in furtherance thereof, or to prepare for or to enter a profession, trade, occupation or service on leaving school, university or other educational establishment.

Thomas Monke Charity

Students aged under 25 living in Austrey, Measham, Shenton or Whitwick can apply to the Thomas Monke charity.

This fund can help to pay for tools, equipment, fees, books, travel or other expenses linked to your technical or vocational studies or education.

Students can apply for a grant of up to £200 by contacting the charity at thomasmonkecharity@btinternet.com.

Applications for 26/27 Travel to Ashby School

The application process for home-to-school transport for the 2026–2027 academic year for Ashby School students is now open.

Transport will be provided by Passenger Travel Solutions and Consulting.

Deadline for Applications:
Please ensure all applications are submitted by Friday 24th July 2026 to guarantee transport
arrangements are in place for the start of the new school year.
