Take a look at our music technology virtual showcase to see the sort of projects students work on.

This course places an emphasis on Music Technology and the overall aspect of Music Production in recording, producing and live sound. It must be stressed that this course is not suitable for students who are only interested in ‘Rock’ music and performance. The skills of aural perception and listening to music with a critical ear is vital.

Practical aspects include Studio Recording Techniques, Digital Sequencing and Live Sound Production. Students will also develop knowledge an understanding of recording and production techniques and principles as well as the history of Music Technology equipment.

These skills are shown through both practical and written examinations.

There are no recommended text books for this course.
