Student Council

Student Councillors come from all year groups and meet regularly to plan events and to discuss issues raised by students.

The Student Council for 2025/26 is led by Harry Booton, along with deputies Alys Ross and Connor Woodley.

Meetings are Thursday afterschool, on alternate weeks, for KS4/5 and Wednesday lunch for KS3.

Harry said: “The student council is a fantastic forum for students at Ashby School and Ashby Sixth Form to come together and improve the school for all, as well as coordinating fundraising efforts for a multitude of charities.”

Our targets for the year are to raise £2025 per Key stage, collect 200kg of food per year group and have a total of 2026 participants in events.

Students can put forward ideas for discussion by using the suggestion box in the school library or emailing studentcouncil@ashbyschool.org.uk
