Humanities

In the humanities department, the curriculum intent is to encourage students to:

  • think critically about the world around them
  • examine how the past shapes our modern world today
  • explore how their actions will affect the future.

The aim is for students to become lifelong learners, where the key skills they learn in history will equip them to adapt, flourish and succeed in an ever-changing world.
